We are Ashley and Jamie. We both lost our mothers to cancer when we were young, so we deeply understand the importance of health-- and empathize with the challenges of healthy living.

Our mission at the Mediterranean Movement is to provide individuals with education, support and community to implement the Mediterranean Diet today. 

Our goal is to help your family realize optimal health, weight, and energy through eating whole food, so you can live your best life!

OUR STORY

The Mediterranean Movement


Hi, this is Ashley. Nutrition has been a passion of mine for years. This company was born from that passion!

My life changed after losing my Mom.

The terrible experience of losing my mom to cancer as a child fueled my desire to find a method to feed myself and my husband in the healthiest way possible. After becoming a parent, I also wanted a way to feel more energetic and lose the baby weight. After trying many different ways of eating, the Mediterranean Diet was far and away the answer for me!

Decades of research confirms it as the healthiest diet around, and the food made me feel amazing and energetic!

I couldn’t find what I needed!

However, I was dismayed to find a lack of resources, created by nutrition experts, that fit into my life.
Recipes were either too complicated for my husband’s palate or too time-consuming for me to prepare. Information was often not nutritionally sound, and I wasn't sure which websites I could trust.
I needed fast, easy, yummy recipes that my whole family would eat, as well as resources like meal plans and accountability groups, created specifically by an expert. I couldn’t find these resources, so I set out to create them!

A Partnership

I teamed up with Jamie Adams, a registered dietitian with a master’s degree in clinical nutrition. She has been working with people of all ages and medical backgrounds for years, using principles of the Mediterranean Diet as her food philosophy. Her career in nutrition has given her a front row seat to the incredible health transformations that can take place with proper nutrition.  

Jamie and I met while I was in business school. We connected over our shared love of nutrition, fueled by the unfortunate bond of losing our mothers while we were kids, and our desire to help people enhance their lives through healthy living -- it was an instant and complementary partnership.

Our Work

Today, we are so excited to be working with people and families who want to optimize their health through Mediterranean Diet-inspired living. Eating fresh, whole foods and enjoying it around the table can truly change your life.
